Volunteer at Your Local Center

We love our volunteers! As an all-volunteer organization, we have plenty of tasks that volunteers can help with. These include:

  • Staffing the resource desk and responding to phone calls and email inquiries
  • Creating and updating a community resource guide
  • Working on special events and benefit activities
  • Developing and/or leading programs
  • Assisting with development/fund raising projects
  • Joining a team to plan a capital campaign for a permanent building
  • Keeping the Center facility in good shape

And those are only a few tasks. There is always something that needs to be done, and we encourage volunteers to suggest ideas, too. Whatever level of availability or time commitment you may have, we welcome your help.

The Center Volunteer League, our volunteer group, meets on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at 1 p.m. at The Center.

Now is an exciting time to get involved with The Center. Along with the move to our new location in the Historic Dow School, we are rebuilding and expanding in a major way. Additionally, we will celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the founding of The Center in 2011, and we have some big plans for the entire year, which will require lots of enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work from all of our volunteers—from the president of the board of directors to a person who may have an hour once a month to devote to The Center.

Thank you for your support of the Center and our community!
